Jazz im Sägewerk 2019

Bad Hofgastein, Austria

Peter grew up in a musicians family, his father being the solo cellist of the Frankfurt Opera Orchestra and his mother a piano teacher. He started learning classical piano at the age of five and concentrated lateron on keyboards, guitar, percussion and – last not least – electric bass, which became his main instrument.

He established and played in various bands, had a study stay at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, played as tour guest from the legendary Soul/Rock-Group "Mother's Finest" and also played as session musician with and for renowned musicians (Patricia Kaas, Chaka Khan, Nippi Noya and many others). Peter played keyboards, electric bass and classical and electric guitar on more than 300 TV-, Radio- and Live-Shows and also played on many studio recordings. He also was endorser for Dynacord and introduced electronic drumsets and bass amplifiers on music fairs.

As a producer/arranger/sound engineer he worked five years at DMC Recording Center in Rüsselsheim for many music productions, f. e. with Aziza Zadeh, Anna Maria Kaufmann and Elena Kamburova. In cooperation with Ingo Werner he produced the album "Kiran" by R. A. Ramamani & The Karnataka College of Percussion from Bangalore/India at Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg.

For several years Peter paused with music and worked as a designer, industrial photographer and consultant in the marketing business for industrial firms, f. e. Daimler, Deutsche Telekom, Stollwerck and Porsche. Since 1999, he concentrated on photographic art.

In 2019, Peter was asked to take part at a public jam session at "Jazz im Sägewerk" in Bad Hofgastein, one of the finest jazz clubs in Austria, and shortly later to perform live on solo classical guitar at Kunst Haus Wien – Museum Hundertwasser, where he exhibited his latest photographic works at that time. In 2020 Peter continues his music work in his recording studio.

In 2020 Peter is working on compositions and recordings for three projects:

A latin-funk-jazz album with renowned American Jazz musicians.

You will find some tunes (basic recordings, rough mixes) that will be part of his project here.

You will find some tunes from his Ambient music project here.
